  Samrita Varde

  MD

  Growing up, Dr. Samrita Varde was inspired to “honor and serve the senior community.” She explains, “I wanted to be an advocate for the elderly population and healthy aging.” Dr. Varde strongly believes that “all Americans should have access to basic healthcare” and loves being a part of a company that provides just that. She is appreciative of the relationships she forms with patients. “I feel inspired by the people I treat every day,” she says. Dr. Varde takes the time to listen to her patients and “understand their healthcare needs,” so she can implement an individualized care plan. When not with patients, Dr. Varde loves spending time with her family, friends, and dog, Alfie. She especially likes golfing and being outside.

  Ivan Garcia

  MD, DABFM

  Growing up, Dr. Ivan Garcia watched both his grandfather and father help people as doctors, which led him to pursue a career in healthcare. “I chose family medicine because I like to have long-term relationships with my patients,” he explains. Dr. Garcia utilizes preventative medicine to keep patients “happy, healthy, and independent.” He says his favorite part of his profession “is to guide patients into healthy habits, identify diseases early, and prevent disease and complications.” Dr. Garcia is grateful to serve the senior population and strives to be “genuine, accessible, trustworthy, and consistent” in his practice. When not caring for patients, Dr. Garcia enjoys running and watching movies. He is also a fan of cooking shows.

  Manuel Batlle

  MD

  Dr. Manuel Batlle is passionate about value-based care and appreciates the opportunity to help patients with a variety of health goals. He views himself as a guide in his patients’ health journeys. He strives to be consistent with his care and prove himself trustworthy. “When a patient begins to trust, the sky is the limit with their goals of health,” he explains. In his free time, Dr. Batlle enjoys hiking with his wife, visiting the beach, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Batlle has proudly served in both the US Navy and the US Air force. As an Avionics Electronic Technician, he traveled numerous places with the Navy. In the Air Force, Dr. Batlle served as a family physician in New Mexico and Connecticut.

  Yasser Martull Pena

  MD

  Dr. Yasser Martull Pena’s interest in medicine and desire to help people led him to pursue a career in healthcare. He enjoys caring for “a diverse patient population with a wide range of medical conditions” and is grateful for the opportunity to develop “long-term relationships” with his patients. He explains, “Building a strong relationship and creating a bond with patients is crucial for providing effective and compassionate healthcare.” He employs “empathy and active listening, respect and dignity, and clear communication” to build a relationship with his patients. He finds it “incredibly rewarding” to care for the senior population. When not with patients, Dr. Pena can be found enjoying time with his family or playing chess.

  Tolulope Awolaja

  APRN, FNP-C, GNP-BC

  Tolulope Awolaja has always been passionate about fighting for human rights and initially imagined herself as a lawyer. After working in a nursing home, she realized that healthcare is her calling. “I still get to advocate for my patients. This time, for better healthcare and quality of life,” she says. Listening to patients is key in her practice, and she loves “partnering” with them to help them reach their goals. She has always felt a connection with seniors and loves the opportunity to care for them. She also specializes in wound care and family medicine. Tolulope Awolaja loves learning about other cultures and hopes to visit sixty countries by her sixtieth birthday. She is a follower of Jesus Christ and enjoys chrocheting and listening to audiobooks in her free time.
