    Dr. Nwogwugwu is very passionate about women’s health. She strives to provide high quality health care to women, regardless of what stage of life they are in. She believes in educating women about their bodies so as to help them attain their best state of health. She attended Texas Tech University and was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. She obtained her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Following medical school, she was accepted into the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where she completed her Residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Training in the Texas Medical Center afforded her an opportunity to meet and treat people from varied backgrounds, with very unique and diverse conditions. Dr. Nwogwugwu offers a wide-ranging of care and treatment options for women including the management and delivery of pregnancy, preventative care, family planning and management of acute and chronic issues such as vaginal discharge, vaginal dryness, sexually transmitted diseases, pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, PCOS, ovarian cysts, menopause, and osteoporosis as well as minimally invasive surgical and diagnostic procedures including hysterectomy and colposcopy.     Dr. Baker is a native Texan, born in Austin. He has been delivering babies and providing well woman and gynecologic care in North Houston since 1991. He is a skilled and experienced physician and surgeon and enjoys the relationships he has developed with his patients over the years. Dr. Baker spends time getting to know his patients and makes an effort to address all of their needs and concerns. He uses a holistic approach to medicine and evaluates the many factors that might affect a woman’s health and wellness. He provides sound advice and tailors a healthcare plan to meet each patient’s unique needs. Dr. Baker has a special talent for explaining complex medical issues in a simple way, and treats every patient the way he would want his mother, wife, or daughter to be treated. Dr. Baker met his wife, Julie, in Galveston and they moved to Spring in 1991. His son, Duggan, and daughter, Kaeli, live and work in Houston.     Dr. Dousdebes was born in Caracas, Venezuela and moved to the United States in 2007. She always dreamed of becoming a physician, and began her journey at Loyola University New Orleans, where she obtained a Bachelors in Science with a minor in Chemistry. She then attended LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, where she obtained her medical degree. After medical school, she completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA with LSU as well (Go Tigers)! She was drawn to Houston by all that the city has to offer, with the added bonus of being close to family. Early in her medical school years, she developed an interest in woman’s health, which would then lead her to pursue a career in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her hope is to empower all of her patients to be the healthiest they can be, while providing them with evidence based care. Pregnancy brings a lot of joyful moments, but can also bring difficult times, and Dr. Dousdebes looks forward to guiding her patients through, and helping them navigate whatever comes their way. In the world of gynecology, she’s passionate about preventative medicine, contraception counseling, as well as addressing any problems that may arise in a woman’s lifetime. She loves to travel, try new restaurants, watch movies, and LOVES to read. Her favorite type of vacation is one that includes a good book, and a beach! Always welcoming new restaurant or food recommendations. An added bonus of living in Houston is that her “new restaurants to try” list is endless!

  • Patricia Machado, MD

    Dr. Patricia Machado was born in Miami, Florida from a Brazilian family, lived in São Paulo until 2008, and has moved back to Texas ever since. She has been passionate about Women’s Health for her entire career, with intention to provide thoughtful care to patients and empower women in their most vulnerable times. She attended Baylor University in Waco where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Latin American Studies and Biochemistry. She then attended University of Texas Long School of Medicine in San Antonio (UTHSCSA) where she obtained her medical degree. She was then accepted to the University of Texas at Austin - Dell Med where she completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Upon completion of residency, she was awarded the Department of Women’s Health Humanism Award and Excellence in Medical Student Teaching Award. Her passion throughout residency involved patient advocacy, health equity, and working with diverse patient populations. Dr. Machado speaks fluent Portuguese, Spanish, and English. She offers a wide variety of care for patients including management of pregnancy, preventative care, contraception, family planning, pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, menopause, ovarian cysts, and also offers minimally invasive surgical procedures including hysteroscopy, colposcopy, myomectomy, cystectomy, and hysterectomy. She is drawn to Houston for the diverse music and eclectic food scene, and to be near family. Currently she enjoys playing tennis and has picked up new hobbies like running, bouldering, and padel/pickle ball. She loves to read, travel, and explore the local farmer’s markets.     Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

    Jennifer Tompkins, MSN, APRN, WHNP-BC has been providing care to women in many ways for the last 17 years. She spent 14+ years as a labor and delivery and obstetrics emergency department nurse in Houston, Texas. She then graduated and was certified as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in 2021. She provides compassionate, patient centered care to the woman in all stages of life. She maintains licensure and prescribing privileges with the Texas Board of Nursing and her Women's Health certification with the National Certification Corporation. When Jennifer is not caring for her patients, family is number one. She loves spending time with her husband, children, and dogs. She is passionate about her rather large garden and thrives on growing vegetables, canning them and sharing them with friends and family! Her family bonds over raising and showing pigs for her children's FFA projects. Agriculture is a huge part of the Tompkins' lives and any opportunity to teach or share this is at the top of their list!     Family Nurse Practitioner

    Taryn King, MSN, APRN, FNP-C was born and raised in south Arkansas and moved to Texas in 2025. Taryn has been providing care to patients in Women's Health since 2023. Prior to this, Taryn has spent 12+ years working in the ICU, ER, medical-surgical unit, gastroenterology, and preoperative surgery giving her a diverse background in the medical field. Taryn attended Southern Arkansas University and graduated in 2014 with her Associates in Nursing and in 2016 with her Bachelor's in Nursing. She then went on to obtain her Master's in Science of Nursing in 2021 from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She maintains licensure and prescribing privileges with the Texas Board of Nursing and her Family Nurse Practitioner certification with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. In her free time, Taryn enjoys racing Motocross, watching college sports (Go Razorbacks!), cooking and reading. She is married to her husband, Cameron, whom they share one son and a beloved dog.
