  • Mara Tamez

    Instructor

    Mara’s mission is to help you discover how Pilates can increase your body and mind connection and empower you to God's gift of a healthy lifestyle. Mara is passionate about Pilates and in 2009 she completed the Fletcher Pilates Licensing Courses on Matwork, Towelwork, Spine Corrector, Reformer, Advanced Reformer and Floorwork. In 2012 she obtained her Comprehensive Program certification at Lonestar Pilates with Laura West and Tammy Jones as her mentors, and became a Fletcher Pilates® Qualified Teacher. She continued to follow her desire to grown as an instructor and in April 2013 she earned her Worldwide PMA®-CPT Certification. Among her CEU's include Pilates and ADHD, Pilates multiple sclerosis and other Neurological Conditions and Cancer Exercise Trainer Certification. Mara also has certifications in CPR and First Aid. In addition, Mara has taken several yoga workshops, and is on her way to obtain her 200 hours Yoga Certification from The Hard & The Soft Yoga Institute with Beryl Bender Birch, under Nydia's Yoga Therapy mentor ship. Prior to joining Club Pilates Atascocita, Mara taught Yoga and Pilates at different Health Clubs like Spectrum, Gold's Gym, Triton Sports Center, YMCA. She also worked at Pilates, Yoga and Dance Studios and as an in-house health programs for Corporations like Zachry in San Antonio, TX and as private instructor. Mara earned a Degree for Business Administration and is married for over 30 years to her love, a former pilot and together they have 3 wonderful girls.

  • Margaret Kerstens

    Margaret combines her love of yoga and Pilates to bring her clients an unique approach to fitness. She has been practicing Pilates since 2007, studying various method and styles. She has also practiced Lyengar Yoga since 2002. Margaret has completed the comprehensive Pilates training through Balanced Body and is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance. Margaret’s mission is to use the principles of Pilates & yoga to help clients find strength, flexibly, and a healthy body while making Pilates innovative, challenging and fun!

  • Wendy Hepguler

    Instructor

    Wendy Hepguler first fixed her sights on Pilates while teaching Group Exercise in NW Houston. It was the flow and the ease of movement that created a breathtaking experience for her. Now after years of taking and teaching classes, Wendy’s come to Club Pilates Atascocita to share her will and desire for Pilates and its Principles. Wendy took Stott Mat IMP & AP training classes while studying Pilates on equipment in Katy, TX with Pam Blangy. Then while in Denver, she studied at Amy Taylor Alpers’ and Rachel Taylor Segel’s The Pilates Center, which lead to taking classes at The Pilates Loft with Jamie Ward who trained two years with Ron Fletcher himself. Wendy came home to Texas and began her formal Pilates equipment teacher training program at The Gulf Coast Pilates in Kingwood. She procured a position at Life Time Fitness as a Mind & Body Instructor teaching Pilates in the Personal Training Department. It was there she was introduced to the Peak program. With all these disciplines under her belt she enjoys nothing more than diving head first into training, teaching, and sharing her knowledge of Pilates.

    Trina, is a Louisiana native, while in the Oil & Gas industry she was transferred to Texas, and for 18 years has been calling our close knit community home. In 2008, she left corporate America to be a stay home mom, between her and husband Devin; they have 5 children and 2 grand-kids and she wanted to spend some quality time with them. Trina fell in love with Pilates after taking some classes, not only did she benefit immensely from this type of mind-body exercise, but she also saw firsthand how Pilates could improve everyone’s lives. Trina practiced and trained on her own prior to become one of our original members in the Atascocita studio and take her passion to the next level by getting her comprehensive certification through Club Pilates. Trina brings some spunk to the team, and you will love her enthusiasm and sense of humor as she helps you build strength, flexibility and balance.

  • Pamela Litton

    Instructor

    Pamela lives in Liberty near her precious grandchildren, she was one of our original members in Atascocita studio. After benefiting from her classes and learning how to exercise with the movement principles established by Joseph Pilates , she was inspired to become an instructor. Pamela saw firsthand how much Pilates was helping her and her classmates, all of whom had different backgrounds and different needs. It was clear Pilates was good for anyone and everyone, and she wanted to be a part of it. Pamela followed her new found passion and pursued mat and reformer training and got her certification from Balance Body. Pamela is continuing her learning to become a comprehensive certified instructor. Creating a positive and safe environment in her classes is always her top priority. Come see her at the Club!

  • Andria Boyden

    Instructor

    Andria has been working in the health care industry for over 10 years, she also loves fitness and believes in the importance of a health balanced. When she was first exposed to Pilates, she immediately fell in love with the way it builds a strong foundation through functional movements and decided to further her practice by becoming an instructor. Andria is Balance Body certified and her goal is to share her love for Pilates and its benefits. Her favorite quote by Joseph Pilates is “Change happens through movement and movement heals.” Andria is a busy bee, managing a corporate job, Pilates Instructor and mom of 5 !!

  • Stacy deLarios

    Instructor

    ​Stacy has certifications in Advanced Pilates Instruction & Core Intelligence training out of Long Beach Dance Conditioning in Southern CAm Comprehensive Pilates training from Balanced Body University, BalleCore BARRE Mat Pilates certified, Pilates for Golfers with TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) Training, CPR/ AED. Her emphasis is on private and group Pilates instruction with a focused approach on weight loss, core conditioning, muscular strength training & toning, postural alignment, alleviating tight muscles, injury prevention, rehabilitation, myofascial release, pre & post natal, all for beginner to advanced clientele.

  • Amber White

    Instructor Apprentice

    Amber has been active throughout her life, trying all different forms of exercise and activities. However, it's Pilates that really got her attention! She has been a member since we opened the studios and instantly fell in love with it. Not just for the physical aspect, but the mental well-being that it produces, Amber is also a 911 operator and Club Pilates is her save haven to unwind and de-stress. Amber began her Teacher Training with Club Pilates Summer of 2018 and is our apprentice currently finishing working towards her 500-hour certificate in Reformer, All Apparatus, TRX, and Barre. She believes Pilates precise movements, core connection and deep breathing, is an amazing form of exercise that everyone at every age benefits from.

  • Anne-Victoire Lawrence

    Instructor Apprentice

    Anne was a professor for 20 years teaching criminology and psychology, and quit her career when she moved to India and China with her husband for a few years. Anne have been doing Pilates reformer on and off for about 15 years and loves Club Pilates because it brings a modern approach to the classical method. She began her Teacher Training with Club Pilates in the Summer of 2018 and is our apprentice currently finishing working towards her 500-hour certification in Reformer, All Apparatus, TRX, and Barre. She is still a trial strategist/jury consultant for an international law firm based in VA and she rehabilitates neonatal orphan kittens. In the spring Anne always have litters of day-old kittens that need to be bottle fed every two hours!!! Anne is excited to start her journey with us and to help the community take their practice and healthy lifestyle to the next level.
