Alvaro R. Garcia, MD, attended Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico, earning his medical degree in 1984. He relocated to Stamford, Connecticut, where he completed his Family Medicine residency at St.
Joseph Medical Center - New York University in 1990. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Dr. Garcia joined Kelsey-Seybold’s Family Medicine medical staff in January 2026.
As a Family Medicine physician, Dr. Garcia provides a broad spectrum of comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, including preventive care along with treatment for acute illness and injuries and management of chronic conditions like diabetes and heart disease. He also provides in-office surgical procedures such as joint injections.
