A. Sahir Saleem, MD, is a board-certified internist who attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, earning his medical degree in 1989. He then headed to the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine in Galveston, where he completed his residency in 1993. He also completed a fellowship at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in Louisiana. Dr. Saleem provides primary care for adult patients, prioritizing preventive care and diagnosing and treating a variety of acute illnesses, such as respiratory viruses, as well as chronic conditions. His clinical interests include cardiovascular disease, respiratory conditions, and dementias such as Alzheimer's disease. He joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in June 2025.
