Vineeth P. John, MD, MBA, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained geriatric psychiatry specialist. He is also a professor and John S. Dunn Professor in the Louis A. Faillace, MD, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and director of the geriatric psychiatry program. He’s actively involved in various educational initiatives to enhance psychiatry residents’ expertise. John received his medical training from Christian Medical College in Vellore, India. He completed his residency in general adult psychiatry at TUFTS Medical Center and a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at the University of Miami. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. John has held academic leadership positions at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine. From 2010 to 2015, he directed the General Adult Psychiatry Residency Program at McGovern Medical School.
