Lisa E. de Ybarrondo, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician deeply committed to promoting and attaining the optimal health and well-being of infants, children, and adolescents. She provides wellness checkups and treats general medical conditions. She has a special interest in asthma. De Ybarrondo completed pediatric residency training at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston in 1993. She was chief resident at the medical school from 1992 to 1993 and has been a faculty member since 1993. Currently, de Ybarrondo is an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics. Since 2007, she has been a faculty champion for the National Environmental Education Foundation, which teaches other providers foundational information and skills to help pediatric patients with asthma. Before joining UT Physicians, she ran an asthma clinic. Outside of work, de Ybarrondo enjoys cooking, gardening, jewelry making, and traveling.
