Description
The children, families and seniors we serve in Houston have a face, and they have a name. They have a story. Marissa is a single mom of four girls who grew up surrounded by drugs and alcohol, eventually falling into the same patterns of her family. She fled her home to Houston, living in a homeless shelter while she tried to get her life together. She knew she wanted to get an education but didn't have the means or support to do it. Until she found Buckner. When you volunteer with Buckner, you will meet families like Marissa's. You will be able to pray with them and for them, long after you've left. They will leave an indelible mark on your soul. Buckner ministry is hands-on, and it's unlike any other.
